The wood for each cabinet is from sustainable plantation sources – it's a fast growth eucalyptus which grows to maturity in 3-4 years. Vers uses screws vs. toxic glues, uses no formaldehyde in the wood bonding, and they've have eliminated all plastic except where necessary or required. And the adapter and Class D amplifier use up to 70% less energy than traditional speakers.

The 1.5R plays and charges iPod Video, iPod Nano, iPod mini, iPod, iPod classic, iPod Touch, iPhone and 3G iPhone.
